Oh how I wanted to like this palette. I had been debating on whether I should buy it or not. I finally gave in and since it's the holidays I headed to Ulta. Forked out $5.99 and walked out with what I thought would be makeup fun in a palette. Boy howdie did I think wrong!!!Got it home and immediately went to my makeup vanity to try it. Opened the compact and went....Oooohhhh....perty. The brushes that come with the palette suck sour lemons but that wasn't going to deter me from the sparkliness. What soon followed was the look of a child when they learn that mom and dad are really Santa. I was soooo disappointed in the texture. Creamy? Nope. Smooth application? Nope. Pretty sparkly coverage? Nope. Ah man!!! I gave up even trying to like it. Yes...the first impression left me lacking.
Yesterday I thought I would give my pretty little glitter a second chance. Still wasn't impressed with the coverage of glitter but eh...I was in a good mood anyway. By noon I had begun to regret using my NYX glitter. My eyelids were burning sooooo bad!!! I didn't have the option of removing my makeup because I was at work. I was able to remove as much as I could but the damage had been done. I have two healthy burn like areas on my eyelids where I applied the glitter.
Do I recommend this product? From just a makeup stand point...no. The cream is not creamy. It's difficult to apply and you can barely see it when it is on. From a health standpoint? That is a huge NOT A CHANCE!!! This may have been just an allergic reaction to the glitter palette only because I've not had issues with NYX before but I cannot in good faith recommend the Glitter Palette from NYX.
