I am confident!

Oh how I wanted to like this palette. I had been debating on whether I should buy it or not. I finally gave in and since it's the holidays I headed to Ulta. Forked out $5.99 and walked out with what I thought would be makeup fun in a palette. Boy howdie did I think wrong!!!

Got it home and immediately went to my makeup vanity to try it. Opened the compact and went....Oooohhhh....perty. The brushes that come with the palette suck sour lemons but that wasn't going to deter me from the sparkliness. What soon followed was the look of a child when they learn that mom and dad are really Santa. I was soooo disappointed in the texture. Creamy? Nope. Smooth application? Nope. Pretty sparkly coverage? Nope. Ah man!!! I gave up even trying to like it. Yes...the first impression left me lacking.

Yesterday I thought I would give my pretty little glitter a second chance. Still wasn't impressed with the coverage of glitter but eh...I was in a good mood anyway. By noon I had begun to regret using my NYX glitter. My eyelids were burning sooooo bad!!! I didn't have the option of removing my makeup because I was at work. I was able to remove as much as I could but the damage had been done. I have two healthy burn like areas on my eyelids where I applied the glitter.

Do I recommend this product? From just a makeup stand point...no. The cream is not creamy. It's difficult to apply and you can barely see it when it is on. From a health standpoint? That is a huge NOT A CHANCE!!! This may have been just an allergic reaction to the glitter palette only because I've not had issues with NYX before but I cannot in good faith recommend the Glitter Palette from NYX.

“I embrace challenges in life, they help me to expand my understanding of prosperity and inner peace”

Funny the things you can find when you stop at a little out of the way clothing store. My oldest daughter spied a store I had never noticed before. After managing to get across traffic and keeping us from getting smooshed...I pulled into the parking lot. I had no idea what wonderful things were awaiting me in that store. She sold makeup. Medusa's makeup. *key angels singing* The website description:

"This is Medusa's Make-Up most inspiring product. People can not get enough of it! Medusa's Make-Up Eye Dust is truly an amazing mineral eye shadow in the form of fine loose powder, think powdered sugar. This all natural mineral eye dust is by far the best in the industry. It glides on the skin like silk and wears well all day long. Each color carries it's own characteristics, some shimmer, sparkle, some have iridescence and many are highly pigmented. Apply "Stick It" to get a more dramatic effect. Can be applied to eyes, lips and face. 1.5 grams net wt. "

Honest to goodness...I cannot give this eye dust enough kudos, praises, A++++, and whatever other postive reviews are out there. This stuff is smooth as silk when you put it on your eyes. It blends fabulously well and the pigmentation is outstanding!!! A little most definitely goes a long way. This is also a buildable shadow. I highly recommend you purchase their eye primer though. Another one of those less is more situations.

Another wonderful thing about Medusa's makeup. It's not expensive. The eye dust is only $6!!! The eye primer is $7!!! Think about it for a second. Urban Decay eye primer is $30 something. Not that I would spend the money on Urban Decay's primer but that is for a different review.

So...Medusa's eye dust and primer....HUGE thumbs up. Try it. I'm sure you will like it as much as I do.

My thoughts are filled with positive, uplifting and spiritual energy and my face reflects those thoughts!

For any makeup wearer...an eye makeup remover is mandatory. Finding one that isn't too oily, will remove waterproof mascara, remove fiber mascara and other eye enhancing products is difficult. Sad to say...I'm still on the hunt.

I have been using Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover for the past couple of weeks and to be honest I'm not too impressed. Neutrogena's website states:

Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover takes off even waterproof eye makeup without leaving an oily residue.

Forget harsh tugging and pulling. This ultra-gentle dual phase formula activates when shaken to remove all eye makeup—even waterproof mascara—without any greasy residue. It is ophthalmologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers and oil free.

Take off all your eye makeup the gentle way.

I can't say that is true for me. I've had to keep the cotton pad I use with the product on my eye for quite a while before it will even begin to remove my shadow much less my mascara. It takes quite a bit of wiping and sometimes rubbing to remove all of my eye makeup. Most times I also have to use my Olay Makeup Remover wipes (I'll review these wonders later) to remove the rest of my mascara. I do have to say that it isn't oily and doesn't leave a residue. It just leaves the makeup still on my eyes.

I so very much wanted to like this remover. I love Neutrogena and their lotions and hair products. Giving this a thumbs down. :(

I love myself and am worthy of all the best in life

YES YES YES!!! Now that you are thinking about Sally and the infamous restaurant scene let me tell you about another Yes to Carrots product. Exfoliating and Soothing Mud Mask. Remember "soft as a baby's butt"? Here is another product to achieve that goal. The website description:

"Most masks are meant to hide your face - not this one! We mask you to uncover your radiant, lovely face. Yes To Carrots Exfoliating Mask revitalizes and purifies your skin, firming and tightening to leave a velvety luster and luminous complexion. Don't hide behind this mask, GLOW with it!"

When I first used this I thought it felt funky and yes...it's mud. Mud is going to make me lovely? Why didn't they tell me that when I was a kid? I played in the mud A LOT!!!

I found this one at a discount store for a very lovely price. As you know...I'm a HUGE Yes to Carrots fan so of course I had to purchase it. Brought it home. Opened the container and thought "I'm going to put THAT on my face???" It seriously does look like mud. Light colored mud but still mud. I sucked it up, put a thin layer on my face, waited 5 minutes and then rinsed it off. In case you are wondering...yes it does have the baby powder scent like the exfoliating cleanser. Now picture the heavens opening up and angels singing. I could not believe how soft my skin was. It was almost downright glowing. I'm 43 years old!!! I haven't glowed since I was a teenager.

So far Yes to Carrots has not disappointed me. I have one more product that I purchased along with the facial mud. It's hair mud. I'm seeing a trend here. I'll let y'all know what I think of it.

Go out and have a beautiful you day!
